This is one of many photos I had the opportunity to take at the 2010 Afropunk festival. This festival is centered around the Afrocentricity that exists throughout the Punk Culture. Artists like Mos Def, the Cool kids, J*davey, K-os, and Janelle Monae run vibrant through this Afropunk culture. It is a counterculture fluent in freedom, and self expression for many minority, and non-minority youths. I love it, and I look forward to photographing this event in the future.
